ACA Courses
American Canoe Association (ACA) Sea Kayaking Skills Courses and Assessments
Anadyr Adventures is pleased to offer introductory and intermediate sea kayaking courses. The objective is to teach participants the skills to become a safe and efficient sea kayaker while passing on our love for the sport. Our courses follow the American Canoe Association (ACA) guidelines and are taught by ACA instructors that have years of paddling experience. The Level 1 and 2 Skills Courses are each coached over one day. Skills Assessments are an additional day. For participants wishing to do both the Level 1 and 2 Skills Courses and Assessments, we offer a 3-day combined course at a reduced rate.

8am-10am – In-class introductions and paperwork, kayak terminology, equipment and risk management
10am-12:30pm – On-water skills (strokes and maneuvers)
12:30-1pm – Break for lunch
1pm-4pm – On-water skills (rescues)
4pm-5pm – Debrief, evaluation and participation cards, progression

What you need to bring:
- A detailed packing list is sent with booking confirmations
- Appropriate clothing for in-class and on-the-water sessions

*Skills course includes course participation card.
**Skills Assessment includes ACA annual membership and ACA Credential upon successful completion of the assessment.

Camp with a glacier view!
Shoup Glacier – Valdez 2 Day Kayak Camp Special
Paddle, hike and relax. This 2 Day voyage includes time to explore by kayak and foot. Spend a day in Shoup Bay State Marine Park paddling beneath cascading waterfalls and hiking along a glaciers edge. Spend a serene night camped with a glacier view. Relax and enjoy Alaskan themed meals prepared with love by your naturalist guide.
