Wilderness Lodge Trips
Outdoor adventure by day, cozy comfort by night.
Wilderness lodge trips are where exploration meets vacation. Kayak or hike near glaciers or through protected coves. Relax around a fire or with a book on the deck overlooking a picturesque Alaskan scene. Enjoy delicious meals freshly prepared with local ingredients. Lodge days are a “choose your own adventure” meaning you may choose how much adventuring or relaxing to do each day.
3 or 4-day Adventure Vacation
Paddle, hike and relax in style. Anadyr’s unique wilderness lodge trip offers the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation. Board our wilderness water taxi and paddle Columbia Glacier, the largest tidewater glacier in Prince William Sound, on day one. Then, hike or paddle at your leisure from a remote wilderness lodge set in a picturesque bay surrounded by muskeg meadow, temperate rainforest and the rich history of an early 1900’s copper mining district. After a day of exploring you can opt to relax around a campfire, in a wood fired sauna or yoga studio, or simply take in the view from the comfort of the deck. Alaskan themed meals are prepared fresh by the lodge host with ingredients from the on-site garden or from the offshore waters. Our lodge trip is where exploration is truly a vacation.
Note: In the event that the boat operator determines it unsafe or impossible to access the Columbia fore-bay area, we default to our famous Columbia Iceberg tour.
4-day Trips
Add a wilderness water taxi trip to Glacier Island, a PWS wildlife hot spot. Paddle sea cave dotted coastlines where sea stars hide at low tide, puffins nest on cliff faces (in-season, mid-June through August) and Stellar Sea Lions haul-out ashore. The surrounding waters are a favorite for Humpback Whales and Orca.
Note: The Glacier Island trip includes exposed shoreline. In the event the weather is not right for kayak exploring we provide our Sawmill Bay trip as an alternative.
