KAYAKING DAY TRIPS
Columbia Glacier Face
An unmatched glacier kayak experience.
The premier glacier kayaking experience in Alaska. Columbia is among the most active glaciers on the planet and set deep in a newly unveiled fjord. The ever-changing ice floe dictates our route each day but our goal every day is the same, to get you to the continents 2nd largest calving face. Weave your kayak through icebergs, spy harbor seals hauled atop, and witness calving events that only a glacier of this size can create. Our naturalist guides relate the story of Columbia’s formation, retreat and role in our changing world. A truly unforgettable experience. (10 hours $375 per guest)
KAYAK CAMPING TRIPS
Glacier Island to Columbia Glacier
Discover diverse coastal Alaska for four or five days.
Our most popular trip! This camping voyage encompasses the best of what Prince William Sound has to offer: a calving glacier, abundant wildlife and a wilderness setting. Paddle the rugged, sea-cave dotted coastline of Glacier Island to the massive calving Columbia Glacier face. En route, the protected coves of Heather Bay, surrounded by rolling muskeg meadows and lush forest, are perfect for stretching the legs. These diverse ecosystems support a plethora of wildlife; See nesting Puffins, playful Stellar Sea Lions, feeding Sea Otters and Harbor Seals hauled atop ice floes. The surrounding waters are among the best for encountering Humpback Whales and Orca. Camp on remote beaches with only distant islands in view and in font of shores where icebergs become grounded at low tide. Our naturalist guides narrate Glacier Islands volcanic origins to the story of Columbia Glaciers formation, retreat and role in our changing world. The transition is an immersive experience of the diversity of coastal Alaska. (4 days $1,535 per paddler, 5 days $1,925 per paddler)
